Duck Park is one of the pocket parks in Elysian Valley and, as the name suggests, serves as a home to many ducks along the river. However, Duck Park is home to many other types of birds, such as geese, herons, egrets and eagles and offers an opportunity for bird and nature lovers in L.A. to experience wildlife in the sprawling metropolis. People say that Duck Park is one of the many spots along the river that allows you to "make a connection" and for a moment, feel like you are no longer in the metropolis of Los Angeles.

Above is a slideshow of Duck Park with audio from Joe Linton, author of Down by the Los Angeles River, discussing the natural elements of the park.
