People of Northeast Los Angeles: Blanca Valle

Translation:

My name is Blanca Valle. I work at Salva Mex Restaurant. We serve Mexican and Salvadoran food. We've been open for three months. This is our newest venture here in Cypress Park. Things aren't bad but they can improve. We're doing our best when it comes to the kitchen and customer service. We're happy that many customers return as well as recommend us to other people, and that's boosting our clientele.

The area has been very easygoing, at least in the time that I've been here, we've felt safe. We're from 9am to 10pm, we've even stayed later, and, thank God we've never had any problems with vandalism or robberies or anything like that.

Our customer base is varied, we have lots of Latinos but also Anglos, Armenians, a few. A little of bit of everything.

Pupusas are from El Salvador, our specialty are pupusas but we also sell lots of Chicken Stew. The stew comes with vegetables and we give you the grilled chicken on the side with rice and a salad. In the morning we offer breakfasts and from noon on you can order what you wish from the menu.
