People of Northeast Los Angeles: Rafael Escamilla

My name is Rafael Escamilla, I am an artist from El Salvador. I've been in this area, been a local artist here for the last twenty years. I also lived in the area of Frogtown, close to the L.A. River. And right now I am here in Atwater Village. I've been working with different areas of the community, with kids and schools. Sometimes the community participates in working with me on murals and we create great ideas together. It's kind of a collective work.
