Departures is KCET's hyper-local web documentary, community engagement tool and digital literacy program about the cultural history of Los Angeles' neighborhoods.

On September 17th, SPARC (Social And Public Art Resource Center) celebrated the restoration of the Great Wall, a mural stretched against the concrete of the Tujunga Wash between Burbank Blvd and Oxnard St. Departures and our video production crew was invited to collect stories from the muralists that first painted the wall, to the youth that restored it, as well as local residents that have a personal connection to the mural.
