SoCal Connected Ponders 'Why the River Is the Way It Is'

On April 30th, over 4,000 volunteers are expected to attend over a dozen sites to pull trash from the Los Angeles River. In gearing up for the 22nd annual cleanup, KCET's Socal Connected produced its story with Anchor Val Zavala pondering how this once natural river ended up as a concrete channel.

Juan Devis narrates the segment, with supporting clips of Councilmember Ed Reyes, and river advocates Jenny Price and Harry Chandler. The episode originally aired Thursday, April 21st and will also air again Saturday April 23rd at 6:00PM and April 24th at 6:30PM on KCET Channel 28. You may see the entire episode online on the SoCal Connected website. SoCal Connected airs every Thursday night at 8:30PM.
