Cliff Williams is the owner of Cliff's Burritos, a Mexican food joint just off the northeast corner of Richland Farms. Cliff's is best known for its three foot burrito - the "Cliff Hanger" - and claims no one has ever finished one in a single sitting. Cliff has been a business owner in Compton for over 30 years, working his way up from pushing food carts to serving out of a brick and mortar. Cliff, as the community knows him, has experienced the decline of black owned businesses, and attributes the shift to the influx of Latinos into the area. For Cliff, there is a a gap between the communities which he thinks is based on a lack of trust and experience. Latinos are less likely to support a black owned business and vice versa, which only perpetuates the divisions. Williams opened Cliff's Soul Food adjacent to the Cliff's Burritos in hopes of building a cooperation and understanding among Compton's diverse population.
