Irvin Lai - With No Home to Return
Irvin Lai was a prominent activist for the Los Angeles Chinatown community crucial in halting constructing of the Metro Gold Line before transferring unburied remains to a proper burial. He also push for legislation allowing for the Chinatown community to continue preparing and serving Orange Duck after health regulators banned the traditional meal. He was interviewed by Departures as a part of the Chinatown neighborhood installment. He passed away July 25, 2010.
