Annie Kim's Street

By Annie Kim

My hill is in the area around Chinatown's edge and Dodger Stadium. Figueroa Terrace is the very top of the hill. There's a great view from the top of the hill; the downtown skyscrapers are very visible. At night, a few constellations are visible more than they would be in central Chinatown. They include Orion the Hunter and Ursa Major. I have lived up on the top of this hill all my life. This is a self-interview where I prepared the questions and had my fellow student producers help me film it. I have learned what the hill used to be, it's history, and how today it is changing due to gentrification and the lots next have been torn down by construction workers.
