My name is Helen Luc. I am a 16 year old student at Central Los Angeles High School #9 for the Visual and Performing Arts. I have lived in Chinatown since the day I was born. This is a digital mural of "hotspots" that are important to me. Places that are significant to me are: Chinatown Service Center (CSC), Pacific Alliance Medical Center (PAMC), and Phoenix Bakery. At CSC, I interviewed Vicky Wong. The Center is important to me because it gives the youth of Chinatown something to do after school, and it offers tutoring services. Pacific Alliance Medical Center is significant to me because I was born there and it allows the people of Chinatown to receive medical services without having to drive far. I interviewed Kelly Chan of Phoenix Bakery. Phoenix Bakery is famous in Chinatown; it is the oldest bakery in Chinatown, and their pastries are my favorite.
