Los Angeles Leadership Academy
Los Angeles Leadership Academy

Departures Youth Voices has a long history with the Los Angeles Leadership Academy. We've worked with the school on a several projects, most notably on our installment of the L.A. River and as part of the Northeast Los Angeles Riverfront Collaborative. The students have explored their own neighborhoods and generated various media assets to help tell the story of where they live and what they see as the future of their community.

The students creativity and insight has provided a unique and valuable view of Lincoln Heights and the surrounding communities. A perspective worth the look. Enjoy!

Some pictures capture the essence of a location while others invite the viewer to experience the place in a deeper more emotional way that allows us to understand it's importance to the student photographer.
