For each of the preselected hotspots, students will research persons of interest, develop a series of topics and questions and present their findings to the class. The class will in turn share ideas for additional questions. A Departures producer will schedule the interview, but students will prep, including pre-checking equipment, and preparing a production schedule (release forms, location and directions to site, and questions).
2. Setup and BreakdownStudents under guidance of a Departures producer, cameraman, and/or technician, will setup and breakdown an interview set including camera and tripod, lighting, audio, and blocking of the subject and his/her space.
