It's time for another installment of Free Lunch, "Where You're the Reviewer."
This week we had the pleasure of treating the lively Natalie Albizo - aka kcet.org commenter shamuffy - to Cici's Cafe in Tarzana. To keep things interesting, Natalie opted to have breakfast instead of lunch. However, that wasn't a complete surprise to us--Cici's is known for their breakfast fare. Just take a look at the more than 300 reviews on Yelp.

The menu at Cici's is so extensive that Natalie had a hard time making a decision. Being a lover of hollandaise sauce, she really wanted to try the eggs benedict but Cici's is also known for their Dutch baby pancake and she did not want to pass up the chance of trying it. Fortunately for her, the staff at Cici's was very accommodating. They served her a half order of the house benedict so she could try the famous Dutch baby. That being said, in the end Natalie was not able to finish and had to take some of the food home.

Well, that's it for this week, but we'd really like to hear from you. What do you think about this week's video?
Please post your comments below, and by doing so you'll become eligible to participate in Free Lunch. Also, if you have some restaurant recommendations for us, please add them to this discussion.
Keep on Lunching!

Whoo-hoo, thanx GoW, you surely have great taste buds yourself :) And yes, Dutch Baby=German Pancake. The idea of making one for every Christmas sounds like a mighty fine tradition... mighty fine! I think I'll get myself a cast iron skillet and start practicing right away ;)

Natalie, you and I are cut from the same cloth! I would have ordered the exact same thing (sans salt). Do love a runny yolk, too. Dutch Baby with apples looks like a German Apple Pancake (which I make every Christmas). This is my favorite video thus far!
