Here's our next installment of Free Lunch, "Where You're the Reviewer."
For this episode, we took kcet.org commenter Steven Paul Leiva to Wurstküche in downtown Los Angeles. Steven ordered the rattlesnake & rabbit with jalapeño peppers; he was worried it would be too spicy, but rated it "mildly delicious" - mild spice, delicious taste. As you'll see, we also sampled the vegetarian smoked apple sage, the buffalo beef & pork with chipotle peppers, and the mango jalapeño sausages. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy any of their beers, but the selection looked very interesting and tasty.

Wurstküche, "Purveyor of Exotic Grilled Sausages" is a great place to enjoy a meal with your friends. There's definitely something for everybody so long as you're in the mood for their type of cuisine. The atmosphere is casual, they have a pleasant patio, a great selection of beers and they're located within walking distance from many points of interest in downtown LA.

Well, that's it for this week, but we'd really like to hear from you. What's your take? What do you think about this week's video?

Fantastic place. Only place in LA that's worth waiting on line...and you get beer while waiting on line..

I took my mother to this place for her birthday a few years ago and she loved it. I was trying to eat more vegetarian options at that time, but the next time I go back I'm going BIG with a kind of meat I've never tasted before...either rabbit/rattlesnake or alligator/pork. Easy to get to from the Gold Line, too!

One of my favorite places downtown. You undersold the beer selection, though.
