Building a better L.A. starts with you, so go out there, volunteer, get informed, and spread the word! This week, in honor of the Spring Equinox (March 20), KCET brings you ways to GET INVOLVED with the environment.
It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the massive tragedy of Haiti; when something of that magnitude strikes, we are unsure of what we can offer besides a check. Well, there is a lot we can offer. For weeks now, Crisis Camps have been popping up internationally: all-day events that bring together smart activist types who design, organize, and collaborate on technology projects aimed to help relief efforts in Haiti.
