  • Born and raised in Los Angeles Chinatown and later Alhambra; eventually went to UCLA where she was a member of Chi Alpha Delta Sorority which seeks to promote friendships, communication and social activity among University women of Asian descent. Graduated with a BA in Economics.
  • Involved with the Organization of Chinese American-Greater Los Angeles Chapter (OCA-GLA) for more than 17 years; served variously on Board of Directors as Treasurer, Director of Membership, President, Vice-President, and Director of Fundraising.

  • Currently on Advisory/Alumni Board of the annual OCA-GLA Image awards.
  • Volunteer at the KSCI-TV LA 18 Moon Festival for the past 6 years
  • Won the Unsung Hero award from OCA-GLA in 2005
  • Won the Our Role Model award from KSCI-TV LA in 2006
