SoCal Cares > Junior Blind: Seeing True Potential
There are hundreds of charitable organizations across southern California that are making life better for the less fortunate. KCET's SoCal Cares puts the spotlight on non-profits whose good works often go unnoticed. These short segments air regularly on KCET. First up, Junior Blind.
Junior Blind helps children and adults who are blind, visually impaired or multi-disabled achieve independence. Approximately 700,000 Californians are blind or visually impaired. Many have three to six other disabilities as well. Jr. Blind serves nearly 10,000 children, adults and family members in 22 counties in California with a wide variety of programs, both in-home and at their campus.
