Bailout Cost Nearing $10 Trillion

Staff at the the Milken Institute have been tabulating the overall cost of the ongoing federal economic bailout.

The sum, according to Milken's most recent (March 20, 2009) updating: $9,893,284,000,000.

That's nine trillion, eight hundred ninety-three billion, two hundred eighty-four million dollars and zero cents. And counting.
