New York and California have always had a twin sister sort of relationship with each other.

Where should we live? What should we call home?
Commentary:
The upcoming closure of the 405 freeway is a good reminder that it is time to get real about transportation infrastructure. So many needless hours are spent in the car rather than working, with family or friends, or simply just not "fighting traffic." This helps neither productivity nor happiness.
Commentary:
Believing that the future will be less bleak depends on where you are in the county's economy.
