Hundreds of Angelenos packed into Pershing Square on Saturday to revel in that most peace-loving form of combat, the pillow fight.
Kicking off just a few minutes after 2 p.m., the Los Angeles event was one of many around the world planned as part of International Pillow Fight Day by loosely knit followers of the urban playground movement.
The urban pillow fight has become an annual event at home and abroad, so if you missed it you can catch it next year. You can also experience the feathery melee vicariously by perusing the pictures below.
