About Me:
James Elmore has worked in the Theater for over twenty-five years, primarily as an actor including Finding the Sun (written and directed by Edward Albee), The Paper Bag Players (“Unquestionably the leading U.S. Theatre Company for kids,”~ People Magazine) and the Jekyll & Hyde Club in New York. He collaborated on the Opera CONDEMNED, as a librettist, which has had several productions in Vancouver, B.C. He has adapted Khalil Gibran’s THE PROPHET for the stage, thanks in part to the Khalil Gibran Committee, and is currently adapting Rainer Maria Rilke’s LETTERS TO A YOUNG POET. His poems have been published online, in the eXpressions Journal and performed at the Nuyorican Poet’s Café. James has covered the local art scene, promoting art and artists in Coos Bay, Oregon and in Riverside, California. He is a graduate of the Cal State Fullerton, B.A. and the University of Arizona, Tucson, M.F.A. theatre programs.
