Las Angelenas of LA History
About Me:
The LAhistory Twitter project is a mother-daughter effort. From 1960s-80s, the mother wrote about Los Angeles for Sunset Magazine, followed by a 25-year career at the Huntington Library. The daughter didn't appreciate the history of her hometown until she left it to work in Washington DC. Together they started the LAhistory twitter project to counter the stereotype that Los Angeles has no history. With 120 years of family history in Los Angeles, the pair knows LA has a rich history…you just need to know where to look.
