About Me:
Heidi Duckler has created over 100 site-specific dance performances around the globe including New York, Portland, Las Vegas, Seattle, Hong Kong, and Russia. Throughout Southern California, Heidi has invigorated historic and architecturally significant sites such as the Los Angeles City Hall, Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles Police Academy, Herald Examiner Building, Lincoln Heights Jail, and Barlow Respiratory Hospital. Awards include a LA COLA, California Arts Council Choreography Fellowship, and a National Endowment for the Arts American Masterpiece Award. Most recently 2012, Heidi was recognized as the Distinguished Alumnus from the University of Oregon School of Music & Dance, and in 2013, she received the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival’s Maverick Award.
