Lex Brown is a sculptor and video artist who graduated from Princeton University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in art. Upon graduation she was a resident at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine. Shortly after she moved to Los Angeles, where she is working on a new body of work that deals with performance, ornamentation, and new intersections between race and class in America. Her work has been published in the Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism and on the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art's blog, The Curve. This summer she will be the director of the children's workshop at Thomas Hirschhorn's Monument to Antonio Gramsci in the Bronx, New York.
