Curious why the word "Chinese" never appeared in the piece, but instead "Indian" parathas was used to reference this ethnic bread? Cong you bing is oft served as street snack. Alternatively it's an accompaniment to other portions of the meal...

Might want to re-examine the data (map) and cross reference it against an aerial map. For example, the NW area abutting 710 and 10 is CSULA. It's a large campus next to 2 major freeways and awkward onramps/offramps. The closest...

As much as I love cars that go quickly, it seems '13 is the perfect year to completely stop visiting In-N-Out, even just for the fries....

Curious when the Cantonese chicken salad appeared on the menu? I don't see it on the archived menu above....

But the article also mentioned the 7th Day Adventists in Loma Linda, of all places. So we should all move into San Berdoo and convert, just to live another decade? I'd rather ride my motorcycle off a cliff....

Let's not forget the piece originated from the UK, and the corn excess, etc. in the US is far different from the remainder of the world. Thanks for reminding us the US is stupidly obsessed with bacon and cheap meat....

FWIW, the official language of both China and Taiwan remains Mandarin, which would make 臘腸 "la4 chang2". Furthermore, in most provinces, la4 chang2 describes a very specific sausage (that is cured, and not necessarily sweet), and the proper generic translation...

Loving the boozy free lunch interview! The actual Cole's dips? not so much. Also, anyone notice if you stand in between Cole's & The Association, the restaurant's ventilation system pumps out a smell that's evocative of... dead cows?...

For those in the "city", Ladyface ales are making an appearance in LA county Sept 15. City Tavern is hosting a 4 course meal, each paired with a LF beer, for $46. Yah, I'm excited....

That is excellent (and actual!) reporting Diego. My last data was from August '10 and I've been avoiding the place since long before that. Only need 1 slurp to tell the difference, so perhaps it is time for a another...

Whoah! That's some wayyy left field answers. Cool! I happen to work relatively near Rajdhani, and live very close to Cook's. Rajdhani also serves a complete Jain offering, in case anyone else reading is interested in that diet. Cook's Chef...

Spicy BBQ has not used actual coconut milk in the khao soi in years. It's such a huge no-no in terms of chicken curry noodle that no one should order this bowl. Pailin, and I'll say this until the world...

While BMMT is the perennial Yelp/Food blogger/LAMag fave, I will always counter Saigon Bakery (also on Valley, in San Gabriel) has better baguette, and Baguette City, in Rosemead, has a better overall superior bread/meat product. $2.50 is the "standard" banh...
