Yvette Lopez-Ledesma
About Me:
Yvette Lopez-Ledesma is Deputy Director at Pacoima Beautiful, an environmental justice organization that works to create healthier, more equitable environments in the northeast San Fernando Valley. She also currently serves as a Zoning Advisory Committee Member for Re:code LA, and she is a Commissioner on the Sustainable Burbank Commission. She is a twice graduate of California State University Northridge with a Bachelors of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning and also earned her Masters of Public Administration with a specialization in Planning. Ms. Lopez-Ledesma has over 10 years of non-profit work and volunteer experience pursuing her professional interests in community planning, social justice, health equity, sustainability, and community engagement.

    For many years communities like Pacoima have been planned and built for us, instead of with us. The effects of the lack of community input are evident: polluting industry next to homes, lack of economic development opportunities, lack of green space, and substandard infrastructure.
