KCET has begun the process of removing KCET signage from the lot, which includes all of the places on our property where we have recognized and thanked our generous donors, including all of the commemorative bricks installed on our walkways.
While we plan on paying tribute to all those whose generosity had been acknowledged on our studio property at our new location, we wanted to also extend the opportunity to come to the lot and get your brick(s). Click here to view the postcard sent to members via snail mail.
If you are interested, please kindly let us know your name, what the inscription is on your brick and where on the lot it is currently located.
Over the next several months, we will do our best to excavate the commemorative bricks. While we will take great care to try and preserve them, removing bricks from their foundation is a difficult process. We simply can't guarantee that the bricks will remain in pristine condition; some may be damaged or even destroyed during removal.
There will be an opportunity in the future where interested parties can come to the lot and collect their bricks. We will contact you and let you know when that is and if your brick was salvageable.
To submit your claim, please notify KCET Viewer Services no later than Tuesday August 30, 2011 by calling 323-953-5238, or sending an email to bricks@kcet.org. You may also mail a request to: Bricks Initiative, 4401 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90027.
