Jean Lenihan is an award-winning arts journalist with sidelines in editing, teaching and creative writing. Raised in Manhattan in the roaring '70s, she grew up watching and studying dance at the High School of Performing Arts and Sarah Lawrence College plus she holds an MA in writing from Johns Hopkins University. Formerly the staff dance critic for the Seattle Times and the Seattle Weekly, she now writes regularly for the Los Angeles Times and other outlets.
