Jeannette Warnert

Jeannette Warnert studied journalism and Spanish at Fresno State, and started her career as a reporter for a daily newspaper in Los Angeles County. She is a senior communications specialist with UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, based at the 330-acre UC Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Parlier. The center is UC’s the largest off-campus ag facility, situated in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley farming region.

For centuries, farmers have used all the colors of the rainbow to assess their orchards. Now, UC scientists have created a virtual orchard that will quickly, easily and inexpensively allow farmers and scientists to manage orchards for optimum production.
