Jena Lee

Jena Lee is an artist, associate art appraiser and consultant who works closely with emerging to mid-career artists in Los Angeles, CA. Current consulting projects include Incendiary Traces lead by artist Hillary Mushkin and the air rights public art initiative with Untitled Collective. She is a contributor and exhibiting artist in the cultural exchange project MKE<->LAX. Since moving to LA in 2009, Jena has worked with MAK Center for Art and Architecture, High Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree, CA) and Outpost for Contemporary Art. She continues to work with veteran fine art appraiser Charles Credaroli. Jena received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2006.

As part of the "Incendiary Traces" project, Hillary Mushkin took artists to Pt. Mugu to do some surveiling and drawing of their own.
Incendiary Traces led a recent draw-in at the 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center where participants used drawing as a tool for connecting the SoCal landscape to foreign battle zones.
Incendiary Traces lists historical and contemporary border walls to provide some global and historical context for understanding Southern California's contested US/Mexico border.
