Jenise Miller | KCET
Jenise Miller is a Pushcart-nominated poet, writer, and urban planner with over ten years of experience in community-based research and planning. She is the author of the poetry chapbook "The Blvd" and has published work in Boom California, Dryland Literary Journal and the Acentos Review. She is a proud Compton resident and descendant of Black Panama Canal workers.

From 1969 to 1975, Compton's Communicative Arts Academy invigorated the city with art by establishing Compton as canvas and muse as well as by transforming buildings into venues and objects for art in the community.
