Jessica Langlois is a Bay Area raised, L.A. based journalist. She writes about music, art & culture for LA Weekly and East Bay Express, and her literary nonfiction & reported features have appeared in or are forthcoming in California Northern, Oakland Tribune, American Literary Review, Travelers' Tales, The Rumpus, and Bitch Magazine. She holds a BA in Journalism from NYU and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Mills College in Oakland, and has taught creative writing and journalism at several universities. She is also Creative Nonfiction Editor for Generations Literary Journal and a member of Journalism & Women Symposium (JAWS). She came of age with feminist electronic pop, vegan coffee shops, and DIY bike co-ops, and she's currently learning to surf.
