Kaumudi Marathé is an Indian chef, cookbook author, and culinary instructor who calls California home. In 2007, she started Un-Curry, the first organic Indian cooking school and catering company in Los Angeles, to shatter the myth that Indian food is curry. A frugal, inventive cook, Kaumudi combines her native spices and cooking techniques with California ingredients for fresh, flavorful and seasonal food. And she tells her students that when they eat real Indian, they won't miss meat!
