It's not a typical day for a teenager to wake up knowing they will be performing live with LA's great Ozomatli, but that was the case for these Youth Voices students.
Student producers have traveled throughout the city conducting and filming interviews about the L.A. River. Along the way they have met a diverse group of people, each with unique associations to the river.
Cleaning Up
One way to really get to know the L.A. River is to spend an afternoon cleaning it up.

Youth Voices Explores The LA River
Youth Voices students are about to embark on an exploration of the L.A. River to help tell its history around the current issues that surround what many Angelenos claim to be a 52-mile storm drain system.

Venice High School
Distance Learning has taken on a different connotation here in Venice. The students travel from all over the city via public transportation or school buses, instead of it being a walk down the block.
