Melissa Govea

Melissa Govea is a Southern California-based educator and activist. She has conducted ethnographic research on globalization, transnational social movements, and grassroots activism. She is an adjunct professor at community colleges in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, where she teaches sociology and women's studies.

Govea is a contributing author to the edited volume, Cultural Politics in the 21st Century: Global Resistance and Community-Based Social Change in the Americas.
