It's been sad to see that music isn't a priority for many schools even though our research shows how much music in schools is so important to student success.
Being involved in band helps students work collaboratively with others and helps them to develop social and problem-solving skills that are necessary to be successful in the work force once they are adults.
Music education is very important because it taps into a part of the brain that allows creative expression.
We want to improve our school community by addressing the lack of arts and music programs at our school.
