Brain Mapping News

Dr. Mark S. Cohen, of UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, has put together this website devoted to RSS feeds and other links and information for neuroscientists and fans of the discipline.

From the explanatory text at brainmapping.org:

"The purpose and goal of brain mapping is to advance the understanding of the relationship between structure and function in the human brain. Scientists in this field seek to gain knowledge of the physical processes that underly human sensation, attention awareness and cognition. These results are immediately applicable to surgical intervention, to the design of medical interventions and to the treatment of psychological and psychiatric disorders."

The site also offers a brain-related image of the day, employment information, directories, links to academic journals, and this opportunity to try and volunteer for brain scan studies.
