Kelsey McConnell has had extensive experience in both cooking and eating since birth. She left her hometown of Lompoc in 1999 to attend UCLA and fell in love with Los Angeles and all the great food the city has to offer. In 2004, she worked as assistant pastry chef under Miho Travi at (the now defunct) La Terza but has since given up professional baking for a career in public media. She is a regular contributor to the comedy blog, Weaknights. She currently works at KUSC and spends her free time in the kitchen. You can find her food writing at The OG PK.
