As frustrating as long commutes can be, they're also a badge of honor, proof that you're more Angelino than that guy who walks to the office every day. Traffic is a shared experience: it typifies our city and defines our culture. Now there's an interactive map that tracks our commuting patterns — where we live, where we work, and the distances between. Drawing from 2000 Census Transportation Planning Product primary data, the visualization — brainchild of designer and engineer Harry Kao — maps our commutes to and from work according to zip code. Just enter five digits of your choosing and let the virtual commuting begin!
My commute time? Getting from 90039 to 90027 takes me a whopping 10 minutes. I make a terrible Angelino.
