Media Darlings, The Remix
Previously, TTLA mentioned the results of this research and analysis by FAIR.
As a follow-up, the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) has taken those top 25 most-mentioned-in-the-media think tanks and re-ranked them in two new categories.
Shocking development: CEPR ranks #1 in both these categories. This compares to #15 in the FAIR report.
CEPR re-mixed the FAIR top 25 to measure "Cost Effectiveness" of media mentions, instead of FAIR's total overall media mentions.
CEPR developed two tables, one titled, "media citations per dollar," and the other, "website usage per dollar." None of the California-based tanks finish in the top 13 slots of other table.
Also of note from that data: the Heritage Foundation website had 76.7 million users during a three-month period this year. RAND, by comparison, had 18.2 million. PPIC, 1.3 million.
