Pepperdine Professor Robert Lloyd was recently named an "Academic Fellow" by the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, a conservative Washington D.C.-based org. (Motto: "Fighting Terrorism and Promoting Freedom Through Research, Communications, Education, and Investigative Journalism.")
According to a Pepperdine press release, posted here:
"As an Academic Fellow of the FDD for the next year, Lloyd will continue to work with the organization in the sharing of ideas about a problem that threatens the boundaries and strengths of democratic principles around the world. He also continues his role as director of the International Studies program at Seaver College, as well as maintaining his position as associate professor of international relations at the Pepperdine School of Public Policy."
The fellowship includes a ten-days, all-expenses-paid educational trip to Israel. Pepperdine quotes Lloyd talking about meeting jailed terrorists, and the FDD website displays a photocaptioned, "FDD Academic Fellowship professors inspect a bomb belt."
More about Lloyd, from the web, here and here.
