Reason Traffics In Jams, Too
Just like RAND and the Milken Foundation, the Sepulveda Blvd.-headquartered Reason Foundation (motto: "Free Minds and Free Markets") has also over the years produced various reports and commentaries about traffic congestion and Los Angeles.
Here's a list of resultsfrom a search on their site for those four key words.
And here in particular is a handy interactive map from 2006 that makes state-by-state predictions about traffic congestion in 2030. That's the same generation-ahead timeline used by Milken.
According to Reason's website, the map and related analysis come from, "Building Roads to Reduce Traffic Congestion in America's Cities: How Much and at What Cost?" and its addendum, A Detailed State-by-State Analysis of Future Congestion and Capacity Needs."
The study is avaialble for free download, again via reason.org.
