Los Angeles River Center & Gardens
This charming center offers lush gardens interspersed with fountains and playful nooks, plus an exhibit on the history of the L.A. River, which is close by. It is more of a quick stop for the kids than a full day, but still worth the time. It was formerly Lawry's Restaurant.
570 W. Avenue 26, Cypress Park. Parking and restrooms are provided.
