Still from Hello I Must Be Going

The Summer KCET Cinema Series is still going strong, but you can plan ahead and buy your tickets for the fall series now. Starting Tuesday, August 28 and going through October 23, the series will present eight films before their theatrical release and one Johnny Mercer scored film at the beautiful Aero Theater in Santa Monica.

"Hello I Must Be Going," directed by Todd Louiso, starts the series August 28th. The film stars Melanie Lynskey (of "Two and Half Men" fame) as a recent divorce who moves back home and starts an unlikely affair. Lynskey will join host Pete Hammond after the film for an intimate Q&A with audience members.

Still from Arbitrage

Also on the list is the new Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon thriller "Arbitrage." The films comes from talented young director Nicholas Jarecki, the man that brought you the documentary "The Outsider."

Like every year, films screened during the fall series will include contenders for the upcoming Academy Awards. During the Fall 2011 series host Pete Hammond led Q&A's with Oscar-winning and nominated directors Michel Hazanavicius for "The Artist," Asghar Farhadi for "A Seperation," and Philippe Falardeau for "Monsieur Lazhar."

With this kind of track record, don't delay in buying your tickets. See you at the movies!
