A few years ago, chefs Roy Choi, of Kogi, Chego, and POT, and Daniel Patterson, formerly of Coi in San Francisco, had a dream to provide quality, healthful fast food alternatives at affordable prices to under-served communities.

On Martin Luther King Day, LocoL opened its first location on the corner of Wilmington Avenue and East 103rd Street in Watts. San Francisco's Tenderloin district will be opening next.
