3 Valentine's Day Cocktails
Want to get good and soused this Valentine's Day? (After all, it does fall on a Friday.) These drinks are pink and veer toward the sweet, which makes them perfect for the big day. Or small day. However you feel about the made-up holiday, these are fantastic cocktails!
Created by bartender Andrea Scuto at Trattoria Amici at The Americana at Brand, this cocktail tastes kind of like vegetables, so you can pretend it's healthy. Mostly it's tasty!
Jillina
Elderflower Liqueur
Vodka
Prosecco
Garnish with Red Grapes and Basil
La Dolce Vita in Beverly Hills tops their take on the classic cocktail with foam, but it's optional: the real flavor is in the drink, with those berries and bitters.
The LDV Old Fashioned
Bourbon (they use Maker's Mark)
Muddled Blackberries
Blood Orange Bitters
Angostura Bitters
Brooklyn-based mixologist Katie Stipe has created a very romantic wine cocktail -- sub out a different rosé if you like, but this one is a good choice, and not too expensive.
Rose Colored Glass
.25 oz. Angostura bitters
.75 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
Crémant d'Alsace Rosé
Lemon twist or rose petals for garnish
