Cocktail Recipe: Aeroplano

If you've noticed, this is another variation on the Dark & Stormy cocktail, but we welcome these contemporary riffs on a classic.

This recipe from the folks at The Factory Kitchen calls for a dark, aged rum. Consider it as an opportunity to play with the variety of flavors that give differently aged bottles their range: from sweet butterscotch to smoky tobacco flavors. What's your preference?

Aeroplano Cocktail 
Makes one cocktail

1.5 ounces aged rum 
.5 ounce white rum 
1 ounce lime 
.75 ounce simple syrup 
.25 ounce ginger juice 
Dash of Angostura bitters
Pinch of smoked paprika 

Shake ingredients and strain into Collings glass. Top with as dash of angostura bitters and a lime wedge garnish.
