If you're throwing a Super Bowl party, you're probably going to be offering libations. Beer is standard. You could also class it up a little and serve some big wines. Another option" cocktails! These two -- one spicy, one sweet -- were created by W Hotels for the Super Bowl, and while they don't have much to do with the two teams playing, thematically, they are both very different and very delicious.
Jalapeno Popper Margarita
In a shaker, muddle:
3 pcs. muddled jalapeno (no seeds)
Add: 1 ½ oz tequila
½ oz. Cointreau
½ oz. simple syrup
1 ½ oz. fresh lime juice
Top with ice and shake
Serve in rocks glass over ice
Garnish w/ jalapeno slice
Bourbon Sweet Tea
3 pieces muddled lemon and lime
½ oz. simple syrup
½ oz. Dolin Rouge
1 ½ bourbon
1 oz. unsweetened black tea
Shake, Strain over ice in a rocks glass
Serve with lemon wheel with dusting of loose tea
