Food Weekend: Seder to Savor, Beer Fest, Easter Lamb Feast, April Beer Society

This weekend's double-whammy of Easter and Passover means a wide range of culinary celebrations, and we got you covered.

On Saturday, to celebrate the second day of Passover, Susan Feniger's Street restaurant in the Hollywood-ish area of town is offering a five-course dinner served family style, featuring dishes ranging from smoked fish to Moroccan lamb and everything in between. If you are so inclined, there's also a vegetarian option available, including potato bimuelos and Moroccan vegetable tagine.

If last weekend's cancelled L.A. Beerathon still has you down, there's another option on Saturday to fill your beer needs: The 4th Annual Los Angeles Beer Festival at Paramount Studios. Admission is $40, and participants get to partake in dozens of domestic and international brews, listen to live bands, and nosh on some food truck offerings. There are two sessions for the fest, one starting at noon and the other at 8pm.

On Easter Sunday, Sotto restaurant in West Los Angeles is opening up their menu to include a special array of lamb offerings. The kitchen will channel various Southern Italian influences while serving dishes including Sardinian pane frattau, grilled leg of lamb with egg, lemon and artichokes, and many more. The range of prices for the dishes is anywhere from about $15 to $18. Reservations are encouraged.

Extending the weekend into Monday night, the Golden Gopher in downtown L.A. is hosting their monthly beer society tasting event. This month's offering include beers from TAPS Fish House & Brewery. Brewmaster Victor Novak will be guiding participants through six of their craft beers, including Cream Ale, Irish Red, and Bohemian Pils. Reserve your seat for $5 at the website.
