According to the mysterious foodie powers that be, March is National Noodle Month. The glorious noodle is really something that's celebrated year-round in Los Angeles, but we're happy to take this opportunity to really focus in on the simple, and perfect, comestible. Here we present some of our favorite noodles around the city, with origins around the world -- we even threw in some gnocchi for good measure. Where do you find your favorite noodle dishes? The early days of the movies in Los Angeles inadvertently allowed visitors to experience the largest collection of animals in the western United States. When animals weren't appearing in a movie, they were rented out to other film companies, performed for studio visitors, or in the case of filmmaker William Selig's collection — an opportunity to create one of Los Angeles' first zoos.
