Thanksgiving Recipe: Pomegranate-Lime Gin Fizz

Pomegranate-Lime Gin Fizz
Start things off on the right note with this simple cocktail. You can make the pomegranate syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to toast. Cheers, to good food!
Serves 6
1½ cups pomegranate juice
¼ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup gin
6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
Sparkling water, as needed
Lime, for garnish
In a small pot set over high heat, combine the pomegranate juice and sugar. Boil, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the juice reduces in volume by half. Let cool completely.
Fill 6 tall glasses with ice cubes. Into each glass, pour 2 tablespoons of the pomegranate syrup, 2 tablespoons gin, and 1 tablespoon lime juice. Stir well, then top off each glass with sparkling water and garnish with a twist of lime.
